Loch Ryan rescue man suffers hypothermia

A 22-year-old man has been treated for hypothermia after sparking a rescue operation at Loch Ryan near Stranraer.

Emergency services were called out to reports of someone in the water at about 02:00 on Sunday.

He was subsequently located by the local RNLI inshore rescue team on the shore before being taken to hospital by ambulance staff.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency and Police Scotland were also involved in the call out.
