The Gunners are looking to extend their continental winning run to four games at the Emirates Stadium
Arsenal can seal their place in the Europa League knockout stages when they face Sporting Lisbon at home on Thursday night.
The Gunners have been on a brilliant unbeaten run, which include winning their opening three games in Europe so far – beating tonight’s opponents 1-0 in Portugal last time out.
Arsenal players celebrate Danny Welbeck’s goal against Sporting.
Their opponents will, of course, be aiming for an upset but Unai Emery will be looking to wrap up qualification for the last 32, even if he is set to field a rotated XI in north London.
What people are saying?
Shkodran Mustafi (Arsenal): “I feel there’s a good mix between discipline and freedom.
“We try to work as a team, building up from the back. When we don’t have it, we press and defend from the front.
“When we have the ball, we’re all offensive players. When we lose the ball, we’re all defensive players. Against Liverpool, it was the first game where we came out from the first minute and were everywhere until the 90th.”
