Parts of Northern Ireland have been issued with a yellow weather warning for snow and ice

The areas which will be impacted the most are Co Antrim, Co Londonderry and Co Tyrone.

The largest accumulations of snow will be over high ground with over 10cm building up above 200 metres.

The Met Office has warned showers will be accompanied by hail and lightening at times.

Strong winds are also expected with the potential for disruption to power supplies from frequent lightening strikes.

The warning is in place between Monday 6pm and Tuesday midnight.
