UKIP AM Gareth Bennett has been barred from speaking in Senedd debates after comments made in a debate.

Mr Bennett refused to withdraw or apologise for remarks made in a debate about the transgender community on Tuesday.

The presiding officer, Elin Jones, said some of the comments were “particularly hateful”.

She said he would not be called to speak in 2018 unless he withdrew the comments.
