Liverpool preparing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bid as Daniel Sturridge looks set to leave – Transfer report

Liverpool target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Sunday, December 3, 2017

Liverpool are plotting a stunning move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

The Gabon goal machine has netted 17 times in 19 games for Dortmund this season, but it is claimed he could be on his way out of the club in following a series on controversial incidents.

Aubameyang has been suspended by the club twice over the past year for ‘disciplinary reasons’, and was recently punished by Dortmund after being repeatedly late to training.

The striker was reportedly keen to leave Dortmund who have faltered in the Bundesliga and currently sit sixth in the table, in the summer but had a transfer request rejected by the club.

But now, according to the Sunday Express, Aubameyang could get his wish with Liverpool said to be planning a January swoop.

Daniel Sturridge appears set to leave Anfield after becoming frustrated with his bit-part role under Jurgen Klopp, and the Reds boss wants to replace the Englishman with his former leading man at Dortmund.
