Liverpool’s 2017/18 season began with a dramatic 3-3 draw against Marco Silva’s Watford and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was one of the big talking points.

With the Reds leading 3-2 the Hornets managed to equalise late on, through Miguel Britos, but the Belgian stopper was at fault as he failed to deal with the incoming cross.

The Watford defender managed to bundle the ball in to seal a point but onlookers were less than impressed with Mignolet.

The ex-Sunderland goalkeeper had been confirmed as Liverpool’s number one before the game, following his fine run of form at the end of last season, but the start to this current campaign was less than convincing.
