The funeral of a cyclist who died in a road crash in Co Down has taken place.

Father-of-two Gavin Moore (40) died in Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital on Tuesday after a white Hyundai 4×4 was in collision with his cycle team on the Newtownards Road in Conlig.

Two other riders from North Down Cycle Club (NDCC) were injured in the incident.

Mr Moore’s funeral took place at Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church in Bangor on Saturday.

During the service, cycling friends of Mr Moore rode behind his coffin as it made its way through the streets.

Earier this week, Mr Moore’s devastated club-mates took to the road for a slow cycle in his memory, leaving flowers at the scene of the collision.
